Golfer Shot by Stray Bullet

The men told police they heard the gunshot but didn't have time to react.

"They heard what they claim bullets whizzing by them," Trujillo said.

The bullet was protruding halfway in the man's chest, police said. He was taken to SAMMC Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
There's a gun range within hearing distance, but of course the police are looking into all possibilities.

I've got a new idea. Anytime one of these stray bullets hits somebody's house or lands in their back yard, or especially when one strikes a person, there's an immediate gun-free zone declared, let's say for a one-mile radius. With satellite imagery, they could easily do the mapping. Additional offences would result in permanent loss of gun rights.

Do you think that would get their attention?

    fixed it.

    1. Bill, I really hate comparisons especially when they don't make sense. In parks where children play, cars are usually prohibited. Those are automobile-free zones. There are others too.

  2. The bullets are often placed in the yard or thrown through their own windows by residents who bought a house not knowing there was a gun range next door, then want it shut down.

    1. Bwaaaahahahaha

You poor gun owners are so prejudiced against, the media, Hollywood celebs, and even simple home owners.

If John Lennon were alive I'm sure he'd write a song for you.

And cops are so stupid that they can't figure that out? No, I got it, you're so stupid that you don't KNOW that the cops CAN figure it out. Wow.

Oh, dear, Bill Baldwin brings up the gunzloonz favorite BDFE*, the "Gunz = Carz" argument. Sorry, Bill; it was bullshit the first time it was brought up 25 or 30 years ago and nothing has changed since then to make it less bullshitty.

You just KNOW that they'll find an "ILLEGAL" (of darkish extraction), possibly a mooslim, who was out there shootin' his piece with absolute disregard for the lives and properties of True MurKKKins who are livin in the USA! USA!! USYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!

    1. I personally know a police officer who responded to a call near Braintree Rifle and Pistol. A lady called 911 and reported that a bullet landed on her porch and nearly hit her. The cops showed up and found a .30-06 unfired cartridge!

It's all part of a scam by the real estate developer who owns all the surrounding property and wants to shut down the club so he can build more condos on the land.

Luckily we have laws in MA that protect existing clubs from this nonsense.

Step 1: Fire a bullet into a bucket of sand.
Step 2: Recover intact, engraved bullet.
Step 3: Place bullet wherever the hell you want.
      Step 4: Call 911.

The cops aren't stupid. It's just that it's very easy to fake. You should learn more about the things you want to ban.

    3. Isn't it more likely the bullets are coming from the nearby range? You guys are using the Eddie Murphy denial system.

  4. This reminds me of a saying that I saw a while ago: A golf course is a waste of a good rifle range.

Talk about fetish objects and penis substitutes, have you looked at golf lately?

    1. Hey Mr. Camp, I'm a golfer, ( well, hacker is more like it.). But I'm also an avid shooter and gun owner.

I'll give you this though, golf courses can be a waste of a good hunting preserve. ;)

    2. I enjoy miniature golf. The one time that I tried the real thing, I gave the ball a mighty whack and watched it sail through the air toward the windshield of a Volvo. It fell short, fortunately, but that told me what I needed to know.

Yes, I do realize that I can only get better through practice and training, but it just never appealed to me. Of course, I have no desire to ban golf. . .

  5. To draw a parallel example, if someone makes a hateful remark anywhere, there will be a one-mile free speech exclusion zone immediately established around the site.

Why don't you simplify things by identifying persons and areas that you will never try to take away guns from.

    1. No 1st Amendment comparisons allowed. It's a new rule.

    2. No, I can't handle the nonsensical comparisons. If you've got a valid point, make it straight without comparing to anything. What's so hard about that.

    3. The comparison is apt because the two amendments address basic rights of citizens. I'm trying to get you to understand how we react to your proposals. If you'd substitute books or speech for guns, you'd see why we refuse to go along with you.

    4. Wrong, Greg. Only the 1st does that. The 2nd is obsolete. It's only hanging onto life by a thread due to you fanatical gun rights activists and the NRA's influence on the Legislative Branch of government. Don't expect me or any other reasonable person to buy into it.

    5. You could at least try to understand. But we won't give up, either, and there are more of us than there are of you, these days.
