Not all justified shootings are really justified, just like not all defensive shootings are not all defensive.

Mikeb, remember that the news media use the word, allegedly, so as to avoid being sued--and in an effort to be accurate (uh huh). It won't be hard to confirm the account, though. There should be a gun on or near the person in question.
