Rhode Island Airport TSA Discover Gun Parts in Stuffed Animals - Amazingly No Charges Filed

  1. Genius, it was a crazy ex-wife who was trying to get him busted. Read the story and get the facts. The outrage will be if no charges are filed against her.

  2. Aren't the TSA paid to prevent potential dangers to flights? Shouldn't they be suspicious that this man might have intended to reassemble the gun in-flight and hijack the plane or some other nefarious deed, and not assume that the parts were put there by the ex-wife as he claimed? We PAY them to be suspicious enough. One old lady I know had her knitting needles taken from her, then they strip-searched her because she was in a wheelchair! But this guy just gets questioned then told he's free to go on his way? Messed up.

    1. They're paid to grope and peep. They're paid to illustrate what happens when government power gets out of control. You want control? The TSA is example of control.

    2. That's nonsense Greg. They're not paid to do that. They're paid to try and keep you and your gun buddies from boarding planes with guns. It's a tough job, you keep them really busy.

I love the way you got on the bandwagon for bashing the TSA. One could think you don't think for yourself much.

    3. I do think for myself. That's why I didn't follow W.'s orders to be afraid and haven't accepted his offer of more control to keep me safe. But consider the result of creating all this intrusion: I won't fly. That means that there's one more vehicle on the road if I have to travel over a long distance. We know that driving is more dangerous than flying. But thanks to government overreach, I'm now in more danger, and I'm comfortable with that. At least when I'm driving, I'm the one who's responsible for my actions.

    4. Is that like a protest against the TSA that you won't fly? It sounds a little nutty. Is it not wanting to relinquish control to a pilot? Is it about the guns and concealed carry?

  3. Sure, "my wife tried to frame me" is just about as lame an excuse as "I forgot it was in there."

Individual responsibility demands that we take responsibility for what WE put through the scanner and not try to blame others for our negligence.

    1. It looks like the gun parts were in stuffed animals that the toddlers put through the scanner. By your logic, we should have thrown the book at the little bastards.

    2. No, that's no my logic. The responsible adult was the dad, poor guy, who was going through that terrible divorce.
