Kohn, 62, and 59-year-old Brenda Brewington were both shot Thursday night in an office at St. Peter’s Church. Brewington was dead when officials arrived and Kohn was taken to University of Maryland’s Shock Trauma unit in “very serious condition,” according to police. Police later found a man in a nearby wooded area, dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was identified Friday afternoon as Douglas Franklin Jones, 56. According to police, Jones lived on a campsite in the woods and had been involved in a dispute with the church’s food bank.

ReplyDeleteI thought violent crimes never happened in churches? Isn't that why several states consider citizens (with concealed carry licenses) to be criminals if they carry in churches?
ReplyDeleteI am going to have a stern talk with the congressman in my state about that. They better figure out how to make criminals obey concealed carry law.

DeleteObviously those who prohibit guns in churches understand the problem like I do. It's not the criminals we have to worry about as much as it is you gun owners, who are sometimes hidden criminals yourselves or walking time bombs.
