Yeah, it's a comedy bit that make a good point. You guys are way off the deep end in supporting gun rights for the blind. And you should realize that you do your own cause harm by sounding like such fanatics.
Mikeb, the difference here is one of belief about human nature. Your side believes humans are basically wicked and need to be controlled. You can't imagine allowing people to make up their own minds. By contrast, my side sees people as having great potential, but also as having the right to decide for themselves. That's the thread that I see running through your arguments. You demand control. We demand freedom.
That's total nonsense, Greg. It's very simply about the capacity to safely handle guns. Blind people cannot adhere to the basic rules of gun safety, which in my opinion, should carry the weight of law.
Sure, he believes in freedom. The kind of freedom where people take the law into their own hands, anarchy. The kind of freedom where hillbilly calls for the violent overthrow of Calif. Calif. is doing better in every fact, than the rest of the country. Hillbilly doesn't get humor. The reason it's funny is because people laugh at the absurd idea that blind people can sight shoot a gun.
1. If the law bars discrimination on the basis of physical disability, are you advocating for the state to violate the law?
ReplyDelete2. Those were not "scary" guns. They're standard firearms that do exactly what they're told to do.
3. Kimmel's an idiot.
4. His show is taped in Los Angeles, so I have to wonder if those firearms shown in the audience were legal.
Bullet Buttons.
DeleteEven so, are those people licensed to have a firearm in L.A.?
DeleteAnd... Nobody got hurt, everybody had a good time.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how much they got paid. After all, it IS a comedy bit. Then of course, the next question should be are they even really blind.

DeleteAnyone who thinks I'm fanatical for supporting the rights of good people is evil. I care nothing for such a person's opinion of me.
DeleteWhat point did it make, Mike? That blind people can safely operate a firearm?
DeleteNote half the blind people in their panel support their right to carry.
Evil, is a lying fuck head hillbilly who promotes death and criminal activity. Like the lying fuck head hillbilly Greg.
DeleteActually it seemed pretty patronizing and demeaning of blind people.

DeleteAs I said, I believe in freedom, while you believe in control.
DeleteBlind people can shoot guns safely. You just saw it.
