McLean was a casualty of what she now describes in a federal lawsuit as a
harebrained drill in the middle of an in-service day - April 26, 2013 -
that has left her with post-traumatic stress disorder.
Thatcher and Minarich are accused of storming into several schoolrooms

I'm glad there is a civil suit. I would prefer criminal charges if I were the State AG. As a first step, he needs to be fired and banned from school campus.
ReplyDeleteThis fucking psychotic risked people's lives in order to promote his own violent, threatening and narrow-minded agenda re: gun violence preparedness. I wouldn't be surprised if he operated a gun safety and female self-defense school. If his dangerous plan had not back-fired, he was probably hoping to drum up some alarm sales.
What a purely evil and sadistic thing to do to children and their teachers. I'm surprised that we have not heard from any parents yet.
Silence from the gun enthusiasts building to a roaring din.
FJ, it sounds like there weren't any kids there because it was a teacher in service day. So no kids were involved in this goat screw. Sort of wish he had tried it on the wrestling or football coach first. That might have been interesting.

Sounds to me like a good initiative bad judgement event, in that I am all for training for an active shooter situation or in reality any emergency event that may befall a school, that said, WTF were they thinking doing it this way? I have seen boneheaded ideas but this one takes the cake.a properly scheduled and notified training would have been far more effective and far less traumatizing. Hopefully whoever organized it and authorized it also gets some sense smacked into them.
ReplyDeleteI guess they were thinking that doing this like the do a fire drill was a smart idea. I agree, boneheaded better descrives it.
