Accidental Shooting Death of 4-Year-old Mississippi Girl by her 7-Year-old Brother - No Charges

The Perry County Sheriff's Department is investigating the shooting death of a 4-year-old girl who was allegedly shot by her 7-year-old half brother on Tuesday around 11 a.m., according to Perry County Sheriff Jimmy Smith.

Smith said the brother was playing with a shot gun, when he reportedly shot his half sister in the face at their home on Wing Gate Cove Road in the town of New Augusta.

The victim was declared dead on the scene. "Right now, it appears to be an accidental shooting," Smith said. Smith said one of the parents was home at the time of the incident.
What's your opinion? Mine is that Mississippi is one backwards, jerk-water place where the folks leave shotguns around for kids to play with. And Mississippi isn't the only place where they do that.

I'll bet the 7-year-old had been told not to touch the gun.  What do you think?

  1. My opinion is that Italy is a lazy country that dreams of glories from hundreds or thousands of years ago and spends more money than it makes. How does that feel?

  2. The girl who died was a beautiful child, as is her brother.
It was a horrible tragedy leaving many shattered hearts in it's wake.
Please do not compound the devastation and loss with petty and hurtful remarks.
