Family-friendly Gun Range Offering Birthday Parties for Kids

Do you think the lady had a point that mixing guns and fun can be confusing for young kids? How old should a kid be before participating in something like this?

  1. Ah, the lady in question was identified as having done some gun control advocacy in the past. Need we say more?

    2. Yes, I think they're a good idea for those who are interested. What do you see as being wrong with this? With proper supervision, children can be taught to shoot. Or is it just that you don't want anyone learning about guns?

    3. The lady in the video who'd done some gun control advocacy didn't sound like a fanatic to me. I even had the impression that, being from Texas, she might own guns herself, but like many gun owners agrees with the gun control argument. Remember Greg, you're on the extreme end of the pro-gun spectrum. Most gun control folks, myself included are not extremists.

I share her concern about mixing guns with fun and parties. That might mix up your average 8 and 10-year-olds.

    4. Shooting IS fun. Get over yourself, Mikeb. And yes, you and your fellow control freaks are extremists.

Mike, you are very much an extremist. It's quite amusing that you honestly feel that you are not.

    1. Not for the kids who end up badly anyway. You guys think it's a given that education will trump curiosity and rebelliousness. In many cases it doesn't.

    2. This isn't a proposal to give free guns to children. They will be supervised. The guns will be rentals that will be put away at closing time. Now, if these children learn about how to handle a gun correctly, that knowledge could save their lives later. What bad could come from this?

That they grow up to like guns and become a 2A advocate.
