I'm Always Correct; It's a Gift

The world's best beer.

Period.

  1. For a DIPA, I’d put ‘Pliny the Elder’ up against that any day of the week.

  2. I have not had the Sneaky Pete. Should I? Have you had either of the Plinys? I am still searching for the elusive ‘Younger’ which isn’t bottled (it would be the one to put up against the 120min). If you haven’t, do yourself a favor and give it a try before making any “best beer in the world” claims. I won’t call you wrong if you stick with the Dogfish Head since personal taste is as subjective as it gets. That isn’t to say you haven’t been wrong about quite a few objective things in the past…

Chimay. As good as it gets, as good as it ever could.

  4. It is hard to argue with Chimay. The best part about it is that it has been showing up on tap in more and more restaurants and beer gardens. Usually I look no further down the list when I see Chimay on tap. Of the Trappists, I would personally put Westmalle and Rochefort a notch above Chimay, with the crème de la crème being Westvleteren- which is only available at the monastery. They don’t even put a label on it. Did you say you find yourself in Belgium often, Dog Gone?

  5. Sadly, no, I do not find myself in Belgium often.

But I do appreciate their brewing skills, and some of their other arts.
