Guns and Poker

In the poker shootout, each player gets seven shots from seven yards away. The paper target contains a full deck of cards. The five best cards pierced by bullets make up a five-card poker hand, and the best hand wins the small pot.
Sounds like fun for the whole family, huh?

  1. Something like this is done on the History Channel show, "Top Shot." It sounds like a good way to demonstrate one particular skill--so long as the backstop is solid.

  2. Yeah, actually, it does sound like fun. I think I'll throw a deck of cards into the target box for the next range trip.

    Thanks for the tip.

  3. Sounds like a nice target shooting practice game. I didn't think you had any issues with people target shooting unless they were shooting at pictures of real people.

    1. Don't shoot the king, queen, or jack, and you're o.k.

    2. Oh, but I do Jim. It's all about killing.

Like Don Corleone said to Salozzo, I don't care what a person does for fun, you understand, as long as his fun doesn't interfere with my fun.
