More For the Semper Paratus Crowd

via Oh Gizmo

The above dagger is called the Jagdkommando Integral Tri-Dagger Fixed Blade Knife. It’s salient feature is that its impressive looking try-edged blade twists, so that you don’t have to. See, it’s one thing to stab something, but if you really want to go for the kill, you twist that blade around when it’s in there. This dagger saves you a step. It also doubles as a glass breaker, with the sheath becoming the breaker’s handle. It’s an impressive looking piece of kit.

  1. If I were to ever get in a knife fight I would want it to be with my M9 bayonet on the end of an AR15..That would be a nice display piece though.

  2. Myeh, a straight blade on a knife is more useful, and I can't see the one advantage of this--the twisting effect--as being all that much of an improvement, especially since it would likely twist in the user's hand as well.

But if we're talking bayonets, I'll take my Mosin-Nagant 91/30 with its long spike. That's a rifle that can double as a spear.

  3. If I ever get into a knife fight, I'll just shoot!

The only knife I need is for skinning or opening boxes. These fancy tacticle or what ever you call these blood-letting things are, is just, well, stupid! I understand weapons self defense and that doenst mean hand to hand for civilan folk.

I mean, come on. I still havent seen a real ZOMBIE yet! That thing looks like a zombie weapon to me.

Looks like a new market for, to borrow a phrase, for knifeloonzz! LOLs!

I have a huge pocket knife collection, family have been giving them to me for years so I rarely buy any knife. But nothing in my collection resembles anything like this. I have a whole dresser drawer full of regular knives most of which are still brand new but I didnt set out make them as a collection would in a collectors sense of the word.

    1. Yup, my Swiss Army knife rides with me just about everywhere I go and does most things that I need a knife for.

Does that thing have a heat seeking capability (not that it would do you any good against zombies, 'cuz they're already dead and shit) so's you can throw it across a space filled with people fightin' and bullets flyin' and it hits the bad guy right in the forehead? I'm only askin' questions here but that's the way I see it in movies.

Land of the free to stab?

  6. This might be useful if you get in a gunfight and run out of ammo and it gets down to hand to hand. Did you see that blood gutter? It's all about being prepared, always.

    1. There's no such thing as a blood gutter or groove. When there are grooves, they are efforts to reduce weight without weaking the blade. The idea of a groove for letting out blood is a legend, not a fact.

    2. I don't know where you're getting that idea, Greg, but it doesn't sound right to me.

    3. Look at experts on the subject. Things don't sound right to you, so that's good enough? And you wonder why we can't believe your hunches on gun control.
