Demonstration at the NRA Convention

We would like to invite you to attend an extraordinary event. On Saturday, April 30, victims and survivors of gun violence and concerned citizens will march to the NRA Annual Convention in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and call on the gun lobby to acknowledge the problem of illegal guns in our society. Participants will ask the NRA to work with them—as opposed to against them—to make sure that guns don't end up in the hands of the violent and deranged.
Remember what Jules said about Amsterdam?

  1. That ought to b entertaining. Wish I was there to watch. I saw the 5 person demonstration at Charlotte last year. What a gas.

  2. It's always good to hear some idiot like FatWhiteMan bloviate about something that they find funny, laughing at the survivors of gun violence or the relatives of the victims who didn't make it.

I gotta admit I find that sort of thing pretty fucking hilarious.

  3. democommie, I think FWM was just laughing at the numbers not the message. Although, I guess he might go for that argument that says gun violence is just a small price we have to pay for FREEEDOM.

I'm not nearly so inclined to a charitable reading of FatWhiteMan's comment.

Whether he's laughing at the size of the "crowd" or their reason for being there it is pretty obvious from his dismissive comment that he thinks their concerns are insignificant.
