In my post which generated such nonsense as "no rebuttal offered - just the accusation," I supplied a quote that should be enough for just about anybody to suspect mental illness. Feigning ignorance in this in-all-seriousness retort, Ann herself supplied the perfect explanation, "the extreme paranoia angle."In all seriousness, this is how the Marxist-totalitarian left works. Notice that there is absolutely no rebuttal offered - just the accusation of "mental illness". I would have no problem whatsoever with someone accusing me of mental illness IF they outlined WHY they suspected such. Make your case. You have my words at your disposal - use them against me. Form an argument. Use citations. Make a logical, reasoned progression using objective data and evidence. If I were you, I would probably attack it from the "extreme paranoia" angle.
Of course, hatred of all Muslims is similar to hatred of all blacks or all gays or all liberals. I wonder what other groups you hate, Ann, and are ready to justify holy war against. I'll return the favor and supply a suggestion: start with the liberals because we're your harshest critics.
What's your opinion? Shouldn't we introduce Ann to Bob S.? He's a guy who can spin the chrome off a bumper hitch, just ask him how he interprets "turn the other cheek." I know Ann would love it.
Please leave a comment.
Actually, if it's THIS definition of turn the other cheek:
ReplyDeletehttp://home.earthlink.net/~ronrhodes/qselfdefense.html
The evidence seems to show that it was referring to slapping one's cheek as an insult, not a criminal attack intending to harm.
Also, where do you see that Ann hates Muslims? I have searched her page and see nothing that indicates she hates Muslims.
...Orygunner.
Dear Ann,
ReplyDeleteWhen you claim to know that God demands us to go to war against scary brown people--isn't this a bit more than delusional? After all, you'll find very few Christian faiths who say (a) they have a complete understanding of God; and (b) war is justified in other than the most extreme and dire situations.
We also understand many mentally infirm people believe there are massive conspiracies and forces acting against them. As a birther, you have to believe there's a monumental conspiracy involving literally hundreds of thousands of people--plus, time travel. After all, is it really possible announcements of Obama's birth in 1961 in Honolulu could have appeared in Hawaii newspapers any other way?
Here's the diagnosis, Ann. See if I'm far off. You're a socially-arrested woman who has a marked tendency to project her own failures onto others. You believe you're highly intelligent and upset that others don't recognize it and value it. Instead of looking inward to address these issues, you blame others--particularly scary brown people. You also have great difficulty establishing and maintaining personal relationships for the same reason.
How's that?
Best, JG
Is Ann B hearing voices? That is a common problem for people with schizophrenia.
ReplyDeleteMore likely is the idea that Ann B. has concluded she understands what God wants from us, and that God doesn't agree with other countires or other religions.
Ann - you're wrong. And you're not just regular wrong, you're scary wrong.
There is a small minority of Muslims who believe they have to convert the world to Islam by force, and that any westernized life style is counter to the wishes of God and his prophets - that they are evil, decadent, tainted.
And then we have the Christian right fundamentalists in this country who have an identical fear of Islam - wrong, not fact based, fear based. And those same people try to hijack the government of the United States, trampling the very principles which make this a great country, like freedom of religion, like recognizing we're a secular country, not a Christian theocracy.
Ann, you're no different in essence than the Islamic extremists, you're just another version of them. We need to stop you from acting on your crazy, misguided, hateful notions, just as much as we need to stop those islamist extremists.
I see very little difference in a Sharia law which would beat to death the victim of a rape from legislators who would try to change our legal definitions to forcible rape for purposes of abortion, or try to make it legal to let a woman die rather than have an abortion.
Both the sharia law and the Crazy Wrong-on-the-right Republicans are nasty groups of people who shouldn't be allowed near any kind of power or authority, EVER. Because they are a menace to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
"I supplied a quote that should be enough for just about anybody to suspect mental illness. "
ReplyDeleteI reread the quote you used. There is no evidence of mental illness.
There is a difference between having crazy views and being crazy. Crazy views are a learned behavior. Being crazy is not a learned behavior.
Crazy views are best treated with exposure to alternative viewpoints, facts, and debate.
Craziness is best treated with behavioral or cognitive therapy, talk therapy, and or medication.
Let's start with "this is how the Marxist-totalitarian left works".
ReplyDeleteWhich is an assumption that anyone who believes that criminals, the mentally ill, and those who threaten public safety should be barred from possession of dangerous articles, in particular firearms, are of any political persuasion other than sane.
Secondly, she possesses a lack of fieldcraft which make it appear she has no military experience whatsoever. I won't point out this failing as I want to see her blown to shit by an HE shell.
She'd last five seconds, at most, in combat.
Since she is a war mongerer, I would assume that she has made an attempt to "walk the talk" and was found too mentally unstable for national service.
If she hasn't, she needs to shut the fuck up about sending people to die.
Additionally, she says "Jihad works both ways" which is open to interpretation, but doesn't reflect too well her feelings for Muslims.
Anyway, a lack of conect with reality is a usual sign that someone isn't playing with a full deck.
Personally, I've found that the insane are attracted to the law, religion, and the military. She's got the last two well covered.
"Additionally, she says 'Jihad works both ways' which is open to interpretation, but doesn't reflect too well her feelings for Muslims."
ReplyDeleteI thought that we are constantly reminded that Muslims are a peaceful people and that it is just the jihadists that are bad? So which is it? Are jihadists good or bad?
"She possesses a lack of fieldcraft which make it appear she has no military experience whatsoever. I won't point out this failing as I want to see her blown to shit by an HE shell."
So which are you? A criminal that would like to visit violence on her or just mentally unstable?
Why are mentally ill liberal people so violent?
FWM: Since you're not very educated, allow me to edify.
ReplyDeleteIn reality, all Muslims are jihadists. That's because the term "jihad" has been hijacked to have a negative connotation. Jihad actually means a 'personal struggle.' This personal struggle encompasses 3 areas: to grow in faith, to contribute to society, and to live a just life.
Jihad, of course, has been used by Al Qaeda and various racists to mean something else. But if looks at The Koran, the term "jihad" is never used to describe fighting or war.
Orygunner asked, "Also, where do you see that Ann hates Muslims? I have searched her page and see nothing that indicates she hates Muslims."
ReplyDeleteMaybe you've answered your own question in reading the other comments. But I'd offer that ridiculous picture entitled "Jihad" with the pink rifle and the rosary beads.
