Neighborly Feud in Palm Desert - 2 Dead

mydesert.com reports.

A 42-year-old Palm Desert man has been jailed on two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder for allegedly killing a 24-year-old father and his 2-year-old daughter, and for trying to kill the family's 43-year-old grandmother, a Riverside County sheriff's spokeswoman announced today.
I wonder if he'd been a lawful gun owner up until the incident. He might have had a concealed carry permit. You know, many times no one checks on that with dead bodies and other distracting factors to deal with.

Better screening for mental health problems and misdemeanor violence could prevent some of these guys from buying guns. Stricter gun control laws can diminish the availability of guns to the already committed criminals.

What's your opinion? Should we make it easier for people, law-abiding and criminal alike, to get guns like the gun-rights extremists want?
