Murder Suicide in Georgia and North Carolina

The wife was killed in North Carolina, the guy killed himself in Georgia.
Authorities said a man sought for killing his estranged wife in Cherokee, N.C., turned a gun on himself in Whitfield County, Ga.

The Whitfield County Sheriff's Department said it was learned that 42-year-old John Fred Stanley was staying with an acquaintance near Dalton.

Officers followed Stanley across a field into some woods. As officers closed in, he turned a .38 caliber handgun on himself and shot himself in the head.

He was airlifted to Erlanger Hospital, but was pronounced dead.

Authorities said the sister of the estranged wife was dropping her off at work when Stanley pulled up and began firing at her.
Guns are bad news for women everywhere, but do you think it's worse in places like this. Dalton,Georgia is near the borders of Alabama and Tennessee. I'll bet they don't have the best education system in the country. Does that contribute, do you think?
