Slumber party gone wrong:
KOAM-TV reports Megan was attending a slumber party with friends at a home near Neosho on Monday night. The sheriff says another teen picked up a .38-caliber handgun that had been left on a piano and pulled the trigger. The gun turned out to be loaded, and the shot struck Megan.
Parents should always ask if their friends parents own guns.
Maybe if you keep posting the same incidents over and over again like this one then we'll start to think this happens more than it really does.
ReplyDelete"Parents should always ask if their friends parents own guns."
ReplyDeleteAnd the friend's parents should always lie.
I will restate my question of why a teen shoots another teen. Why did someone in her teens not have the sense NOT to aim AND pull a trigger on someone? Oh, wait! Isn't that killing someone? Yeah, its all the dad's fault because there was a mentally incompetent person in the house. He should have hid all the knives, car keys, poisons, solvents, bleach and any other number of dangerous items when having an idiot present.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, I'm afraid you're exaggerating. No one is saying it's all the dad's fault and the teenage girl has no responsibility for what she did. Only you're saying we say that, which is not true, and then you rail and rant against that as if we really did say it.
ReplyDeleteThis trick must be taught by the NRA, it's so diffuse among you guys.
Are you so biased that you refuse to admit the gun owner was wrong to leave a gun there?
"Anonymous, I'm afraid you're exaggerating."
ReplyDeleteWhat exactly is being exaggerated?
"No one is saying it's all the dad's fault and the teenage girl has no responsibility for what she did. Only you're saying we say that, which is not true, and then you rail and rant against that as if we really did say it."
Where do I say this? Is it in here? ...Oddly enough everyone on here (being biased) leaves out a simple fact in this case. A teenage girl killed someone. She picked up a gun and pulled the trigger. Training is absurd. Owner responsibility is absurd. The fact is that this stupid, no common sense bitch would have killed someone eventually in some other way anyways. You watch TV, you see guns kill. You see finger on trigger and BANG! What else did she expect? Where I come from the smallest child that can understand language knows not to point a gun at anyone. Clearly this man had some teenies in his house he trusted to be smart enough not to fire guns at each other. This was stupid, no doubt. But this girl needs to be put in a home. The man needs a kick in the balls among other things for being so stupid...
Is it in here? ...Anonymous said...
'FWM and Zorro, When do you figure you'll need such defenses?'
I'll answer for them. How about when the need arises. It does you know. Read the news. Crimes happen everyday.
'Anonymous, What are you sayin', we should just lock the bitch up and problem solved.'
I didn't say lock her up. I said put the dumb bitch in a care home. Padded walls and junk. She clearly is mentally unfit. She clearly is too stupid to be let to run amuck. Yes, mistakes happen. But pointing a gun at someone at that age? Should someone else suffer in this train wreck of stupidity?
'Yours is the most simplistic worldview I've heard in a while. Kids watch TV, they should know better.'
Refreshing isn't it? No crap, no grey area. Just statement. If you are 12 or so and live on this planet and do not know that guns kill could you please direct me to the newly established garden. Which way to Eden? That way?! Oh thanks! Seriously. You think that labeling her as a kid changes the fact that she should have known better? Kids don't need 'training' to know that guns kill. If the kids (tweens, sorry) are so dull nowadays get on your knees and pray because he is coming back soon...

I don't see it. Are you exaggerating?
"This trick must be taught by the NRA, it's so diffuse among you guys".
Funny, I see no trick. I hardly have to resort to them posting on here. I also know the NRA is the National Rifle Association. Oddly enough I am Canadian so I never had the opportunity to join ;) The statement does reveal a lot about you though. Blanket statements, relying on insult when all else has gone astray. Its funny really. Many on here label gun owners as dumb. If you weren't fighting for a silly cause and against most gun owners there would be no differentiating indicator to tell you apart from them. Most definitely intelligence isn't a factor.
"Are you so biased that you refuse to admit the gun owner was wrong to leave a gun there?"
And you are so blinded with your pre-established notations of others that you neglect to read what they have written on your own blog before writing a silly post. Read on. My quote from this previous post... Clearly this man had some teenies in his house he trusted to be smart enough not to fire guns at each other. This was stupid, no doubt. But this girl needs to be put in a home. The man needs a kick in the balls among other things for being so stupid...
Yeah... I hardly see this getting posted however. It makes you look silly, Mod.
