Accidental Shooting Near Indiana Campus - Student Dead

Local news reports

A shooting just north of the Indiana State University campus claims the life of a 21 year old.
It happened overnight Friday. According to Terre Haute Police, Brandon Perrine died of an accidental gunshot wound.

The investigation into the case is ongoing, but according to witness accounts, the incident was completely accidental.

News 10 confirmed through an ISU Student Database that Perrine is a student at the college.
Let me guess. He grew up in a family that owned guns in one of the most gun-friendly states.  Since he was 5 years old he'd been taught to shoot and that guns are just another tool. In those young years, a thousand times he'd been told never to point the gun at anything you don't want to destroy.

Then, at 21, he's dead from an negligent discharge that everybody tries to soft-sell by calling it an unfortunate accident.

Does that about cover it?  What do you think?

  1. Again, at least from the source you reference, you have no support for your suggestions.

    1. And then you ended the speculation by saying, "Does that about cover it?" You guess a lot. The problem comes when you guess and act as though your guesses are facts.

  2. I think you have an active imagination. It needs more variety, since you tell the same story every time. Keep working on it, Mikeb.

  3. You have no idea what you are talking about. Morons should at least make an attempt to know something of which t hey speak. Not to mention the pain this family is in. think before you speak and know the facts. none of which you have correct..

  4. Pretty close:
Perrine, 21, was a student at ISU, Police Chief John Plasse said. He had been “playing around” with a hand gun when it discharged, and the incident appears accidental, Plasse said. Witnesses “had similar statements that the man was messing around with the gun and it went off,” Plasse said.
