"According to police, there were people drinking and doing drugs at the home. "In this particular case, investigators informed us, that there was alcohol involved. Not only alcohol. We also had drugs. We had cocaine," said Miami-Dade Police Detective Alvaro Zabaleta."
Yep, there were a lot of good decisions being made that day....Not.
But Mike, you don't know who owns guns and who doesn't. Even if there was a registry, it wouldn't be accurate enough to count on. All you can say is who shouldn't own a gun, which means you have to look at the entire populace. Don't you want to stop someone from buying their first gun? So if someone is a heroine fiend you'd have to flag them as unfit whether they own a gun or not. Right??
My version of proper gun control laws would do very well in preventing unfit people from buying their first gun legally. So, no, we don't have to count the non-gun owners, most of whom will never want to buy a gun anyway.

Like about 50% of you lawful gun owners, this guy had no business owning guns.
DeleteWhat percentage of non-gun owners have no business owning a gun? Is that 0% (they're all fit), or is it also 50%?
DeleteI don't think we have to count them, do you? Isn't it a moot point since they don't own guns anyway?

DeleteGrandpa was stupid to lay a loaded gun down where the kid could get it. I call it negligence, not an accident.
