  1. what a man can do in these accidental events. You can't do anything.

  2. Everyone in that family, especially the ones who sleep in that bad, should never have the right to own guns again. They've proven to be unfit.

  3. As it happens, the Marquette Park area is a bit more dangerous than five year olds getting shot "accidentally" by loaded gunz stuffed between mattresses might suggest.

Maybe they need a few dozen neighborhood watch guyz like Deadeye Zimmer there to calm things down.

Maybe it's time for a new category of shootings, let's call them "stupidents" where it's clear that an intelligent gun owner (of which there many) would not do something as moronic as making a semi-automatic or revolver sandwich with a loaded weapon.

  4. Mikeb, you didn't note that this was in Chicago. Do you imagine that the gun was owned legally? This is likely an illegal gun in a state with strict firearms laws. We see here that gun control fails. But also, putting the gun between mattresses was possibly an attempt to conceal an illegal object that shouldn't have been illegal in the first place.

    1. That could be, Greg. Or, it could be a legally owned gun in the home for defense and kept handy, not unlike your own.

    2. Mikeb, handguns were illegal in Chicago until the McDonald decision, and after that, going through the legal process is excessively difficult. It's likely that this gun was not legal.

Right, it might not be legal, NOW, numbnuts. At some point it was; so somebody had to transfer it from one category (legal) to the other (illegal). We know this happens 'cuz there are no gunzfairiez to make them appear out of thin air--only dishonest fuckz who will knowingly sell gunz to people with improper transfers or, stupidly, not properly secure tham and have them stolen.
