The Amazing Geraldo Rivera on Trayvon Martin

  1. Let's also note the reports that I've seen that Martin was beating Zimmerman. Your side is going to see Martin as a martyr for your cause, but the facts are looking more and more in Zimmerman's favor. This is not to say that Zimmerman did everything right. But he looks to have a solid case for self defense.

    1. I've begun to hear these reports too. It becomes a fascinating case of the aggressor becoming the victim and then using excessive force. I can't wait to see the way it develops.

  2. Greg Camp:

You are truly a braindead and bloodthirsty piece-of-shit. You're so fucking in love with your delusional self-image as a gunzhero that you'll defend a murdering dickhead like Zimmerman. Your opinions, and that's all any of your baseless and unbacked assertions can be, are those of a small minded, cowardly wannabe.

    1. How about addressing specific points, rather than spouting foolishness.

    2. With a single punch, Trayvon Martin decked the Neighborhood Watch volunteer who eventually shot and killed the unarmed 17-year-old, then Trayvon climbed on top of George Zimmerman and slammed his head into the sidewalk, leaving him bloody and battered, law-enforcement authorities told the Orlando Sentinel.

  3. Rivera's point in a nutshell: A hoodie is a stand-in for brown skin in the mind of racists... and such racism is ingrained in our culture.

    1. Rivera's point in a nutshell: When you act like a thug, you get treated like a thug.

    2. It seems to me the kid was doing nothing wrong and Zimmerman was. Wearing that hood is not wrong, Greg, but interpreting it that way is.

  4. The gun grabbers are really bitter that this case is not turning out in their favor.

Your racism is naked and obvious.

Jerry Rivers, btw, is not the go-to guy for an example of professional journalism.

    1. A witness saw Martin bashing Zimmerman's head into a sidewalk. That really isn't conjecture, as other facts back the account up. I'd really like to see what any of you would do at that point if you were Zimmerman.

    2. Democommie, are you telling me that a person can't summarize another's remarks without agreeing with them?

But then, please do explain how genes control the wearing of a hoodie. Race is a question of genetics--skin color and a few other minor matters. Culture influences clothing and behavior. Criticizing clothing choices and actions may be culturist, but it's not racist.

    3. I suppose by now you've seen the video in which Zimmerman's head did not looked bashed in at all.

  6. Be honest people. Everyone profiles. It is not racist. It is basic survival instinct. I don't care what color someone's skin is. If someone dresses like a "gangsta", I am going to assume -- and rightly so -- that they like gangsters. And a person who embraces gangsters at best encourages gangster values and at worst embraces them and lives them. That sort of person is not an asset to society. And yes, I will view someone dressed up like a gangster with more caution -- whether they are white, brown, black, purple, plaid, or polka-dotted.

The anti-gun crowd profiles all the time themselves. Any time they see an armed citizen carrying openly, they assume the citizen is an unstable, loose cannon just itching to squeeze the trigger and shoot someone. They go hysterical and call the police. The crazy thing is it's not armed citizens running around shooting up schools, shopping malls, or convenience stores: it's gangsters! The anti crowd profiles, too. They just need to improve their profile a bit and realize that they don't have to worry about armed citizens.

    1. I think you're correct about that, but it doesn't make the practice right.

Funny how it took getting shot to make MrM. stop slamming MrZ's head into the sidewalk, thats righ after he was shot, not very rational of MrM, trying to beat a man to death like that, the "6' tall, 180lbs, football player", probably had the roid-rage, being a M-Ng(MrM's own words on facebook) and all that.......

All in all sounds like a perfect defensive use of a firearm to deescalate a situation......

Head injuries tend to bleed, profusely. This Sanford PD police video shows an apparently unbloodied Zimmerman. Also, his nose doesn't appear to be broken in the video.

Claims of being knocked to the ground, suffering a broken nose and having his head bashed repeatedly against the concrete sidewalk--no video. Claims by Zimmerman's father are apparently more valuable than others' claims as to Trayvon Martin's actions during the incident--they are nothing but hearsay. "Eyewitness" account that is cast into doubt by the video? All of this adds up to it ain't lookin' so good for Mr. Zimmerman.
