Mitt Romney at the NRA Convention

According to Hot Air, Mitt Romney only got a luke-warm reception for this video statement.

Did he say, "I believe in the Constitution, the way it was written?" What do you think that means for women and blacks?

Don't these right-wing characters realize they cannot continue to put the so-called Founding Fathers on pedestals without inviting ridicule?

What's your opinion? Please leave a comment.

  1. Mittunswillard is a "Man for all constituencies", saying whatever he thinks will get him a few votes. The problem he has is that he has a track record as governor of MA, where he was pretty much despised by the majority of voters for his hamfisted attempts to browbeat the lege and his nakedly transparent use of the office to leverage himself into national politics (I think he took MORE time off than shrub did).

He also seems to have a tin ear where his advisors are concerned, a lack of affect when speaking and a less than overwhelming knowledge of most of the subjects he tends to pontificate on.

He's also a MORMON, not a genuwine KKKristian as far as the other heretics are concerned.

When's The Dongald going to address the ranks at Gunzaganza?

The simple answer is NO, but I'll expand. I'm a visual learner so my brain uses images, then translates them to word characters. When I think of the right-wing, I see a large plastic dome over their heads- much akin to those space characters on the early black and white TV space shows- the ones that we now laugh at as we look back on them.

This plastic dome, of course, is a kind of 'protection' for them so that they are not 'damaged' by the reality of the world in which they live.

With this dome securely set, they can live in their World of Delusion without too much interference from facts and data which would be contrary to their imagined world.

Thus the Constitution, in this World of Delusion, is forever set in stone, with it's late 18th century ideals and ideas about what is 'right and proper in a society.' Thus, they believe that white, land-owning males only have the right to vote and to participate in this government.

You can imagine the terrible trouble that these dome-heads are in with a black, illegitimate Democrat in control of the White House. He is an alien invader from another planet. Thus the utter disdain for the man, and with all aliens, he must be removed from power, perhaps with a Tom Corbett sparkler gun.

If you can 'view' them with their bubble helmets tightly fastened in place, they become cartoon characters befitting of comic books.

  4. Who ever said Mitt was a right winger? Why do you think he got a "luke-warm" reception? It is amazing he even got that.

Considering his track record as a gun-banning turd, I would think you all would be falling all over him.

That would be the case for an idiot like you, if he ONLY made sense to you on gunz and wanted to boil teh babeez on various feast days. You "single discharge" voters are a sad lot.

  6. Meanwhile DumO'Commie and Jadegold,

this has got to be killing you morons....

    http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/harper-on-cusp-of-majority-as-ndp-becomes-opposition/article2006635/

With almost all polls reporting, the Conservatives were elected in 167 ridings, and the NDP in 102, more than double its best historical tally. The Liberals were reduced to the lowest seat count in their history, elected in just 34 seats. The Bloc had just four.

Granted they are 'Canadian' conservatives, but what the Eff they want to get rid of the Canadian gun registry...

Democommie Evidently you haven't been paying attention to your hero and his schedule. It would seem that Obama has golfed more in his first two years than Bush did in his eight years. If you'll remember, Bush abstained from playing golf after 9/11 because he actually has a conscience and more integrity in his little finger than Obama has in his entire cabinet. Bush didn't think it was right that he go and play golf while Americans were fighting in Afghanistan after 9/11. Obama is a kid doing a Man's job and it shows. He's just there for the perks.

Seems like every week, we hear about Obama going on another taxpayer funded junket somewhere or other. And since he's in campaign mode now, we, the taxpayers are funding those trips also.

And so as to be on topic...Mitt Romney is a RINO. And like all RINO's, he'll say what ever he needs to to keep in the game.

    Mike G.
