  1. ...and I just bought a winning lottery ticket.

    Too optimistic for the USA.

Gun violence in the USA is the equivalent of Nuclear Energy in Japan.

  3. Helmke is statistically irrelevant here in the US anymore.

  4. Why Dannytheman? Why such animosity? I find Helmke sincere and intelligent and well-spoken. And I really believe it's not because I agree basically with his position.

So you think that Gun violence serves a useful purpose, and it will take a 8.9 earthquake combined with a 35' tsunami to shut it down?

  6. Well Helmke talks to the leader of the losing side and his polyannish predictions of the fall of the NRA... as a good thing....

Mike, You and I can agree on many things, I mean that. I will agree with you that Mr. Helmke is intelligent and well spoken. Sincere? Not so much. I contend that he KNOWINGLY lies and exaggerates the facts. Now, in my world, you can t say things, or you can say things, but when you knowingly deceive or lie against the truth? That loses me. (This is why the Gun Rights groups are losing IMHO, the facts do not back up the claims)(LTCF shall issue, "blood in the streets"? Never happened. Guns in bars, more crazy claims, never happened.) I think College Campus is another "blood in the streets" position that will prove wrong.
I go up against a very nice man from CeaseFirePA here in PA all the time. I shake his hand, I talk to him about sports and other common interests, but when it comes to guns, Lost and Stolen, 30 days for one gun, he and I disagree, and I have beat him in every town I have gone up against him in. The difference is, HE IS PAID and I volunteer! But ultimately it is the truth that helps me win.

  8. Dannytheman,

Those examples you mentioned about no "blood in the streets," and "guns in bars not resulting in more trouble," would be examples of being wrong not of lying. I personally think the "being wrong" part is debatable, but these are not examples of lying, so why do you keep calling Helmke insincere and a liar?
