Have you noticed how we stopped hearing about this? I have a theory about that. As illustrated in this video, the gun-rights advocates who made this such a big deal appear totally ridiculous. Given a year or so of distance, even they realize how foolish they were. What do you think?
Mikeb, that illustrates how stupid your side was to attempt to force Starbucks to join your cause. What's shown in the video doesn't happen. Nor did a whole lot of shootings at Starbucks suddenly go down. The gun grabbers tried to hold a boycott, and the company reported no loss of sales. Oh, and we still carry our guns to Starbucks.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if it started when "our side" did something. I probably started before that when some customers complained about the policy, and with good reason.
DeleteNo, it was people like the Coalition Against Gun Ownership and the Brady Bunch that got pissy when Starbucks refused to change its policy. Starbucks just wants to sell coffee to anyone who's complying with the law, but that's not good enough for the gun grabbers.
Delete"Oh, and we still carry our guns to Starbucks."
ReplyDeleteBecause you're still the same insecure gunzloonz that you were last year, and the year before, and the year before that, and...
Do you know why people don't just point and laugh at you gunzloonz who insist on polluting the environment wit teh gunz that you're too afraid to go ANYWHERE without carrying? It's because they know that irrational shitheadz who haz teh gunz are a lot more likely to shoot them them by stupident or on purpose than someone who is not carrying a gun--especially when they are frightened or their fee-fees are hurted.
It's easy to claim that your opponent is insecure, but proving it is hard. You've yet to prove it. But let's work on simpler matters first. Do you know what "concealed" means?
Delete"It's easy to claim that your opponent is insecure, but proving it is hard. You've yet to prove it."
ReplyDeleteThe "proof" is in the thousands of unwarranted shootings that occur, according to police and hospital reports (and who knows how many more that aren't serious enough to require medical care). Secure people don't need to have a loaded gun where their friends or young children can access it and shoot themselves or someone else.
But let's work on simpler matters first. Do you know what "concealed" means?
Oh, garsh, Greggie, I already KNOW what "concealed means". View the video, it was made in Hollywood, CA. It was made in March, 2010, about two months after this story:

re: Open carry at Starbucks in the San Francisco Bay Area.
You wanna work on simple things, first. Try reading the fucking news, moron.
Democommie, people who carry openly are one small part of the total number of us with carry licenses. In fact, many who carried openly in California likely had no license, since doing so didn't require one at the time, so long as the gun was not loaded. (Yeah, there's a brilliant requirement. . .) Many of the people who carried into Starbucks to run the boycott live in states that don't allow open carry.
DeleteBut you do insist on conflating the people who comment here with the idiots who get into accidents or acts of violence. Apparently, you can't see the difference, and that fact makes me glad that you're not in charge of anything.
"But you do insist on conflating the people who comment here with the idiots who get into accidents or acts of violence. Apparently, you can't see the difference, and that fact makes me glad that you're not in charge of anything."
ReplyDeleteActually, Greg Camp, I do no such thing. I DO observe that you have NO problem with these assholes having gunz. IOW, they're your peeps and they got their rights, so fuck the rest of the world.
And, Gregginz; you try to ream me for fucking up when in fact it was your ignorance of the situation that had you telling me that I was wrong. I would just laugh at your bluster, 'cept you're a big'ol badass with a side-draw rig who might just blow a guy away for disrepectin' him. Oh, I'm sorry, you're not one of those truly KKKrazzee people, right?
Democommie, why allow facts to mess up your view of the world? But which assholes is it exactly that I don't mind having guns? Criminals? No, I don't want them to have guns. Insane people? Nope, not them either. Your side doesn't have any way of preventing those two from getting guns, but again, why give up your fantasies?
DeleteOf course, you do keep going on about cross-draw rigs, even though that's not my typical setup. And in case you're open enough to wonder honestly, I've never been a member of the K.K.K., nor would I ever be.
